Ngapara Pools splash

Despite meeting at a different location to usual , it seems like people listened to instructions or read last week’s email , as around 50 members turned up for a wander up the Ngapara pools area

Most groups headed upstream from the boat ramp ,except for the runners who went down stream. There’s always one group who have to do things differently ,isn’t there.

There are of course a multitude of tracks wandering around  the Ngapara pools area , so the different groups popped out in different places .Some nearly got to Airport road ,whilst another group popped out about the golf course. Most then wandered thru the pines before dropping back down to the river via a residential area, the industrial area or the dump. No rubbish left behind , not sure if any members worth recycling. Most were back early or on time, the last ones in only 5 minutes late

President Jo advises she still has a few tee shirts left ,if you ordered one ,get it now ,otherwise it may be on-sold to anyone else wanting one . She is getting tired of carting them around ,so you may need to visit to get yours . Get your A  into G if you ordered one  but have not paid and collected it.

This Saturday you can sit back and watch the blossom blooming as the Blossom festival is on ,so no harrier outing this week.

The committee has met to decide where to go next week(original venue has already been used ) So the plan for Saturday 3 October is to go to Bendigo. This will be a 12:30pm start and we will car pool up there. Barrie will collect $5 off you, like for the  bus and raffle and the club will direct credit to the car driver’s bank account

The season is coming to an end. The following Saturday 10 October will be a bus mystery trip ,also departing  12:30pm. Hope someone knows where we are  going, as rumour has it even the bus driver will be blindfolded .Hope the driver has been practicing driving by Braille.

Closing day will then be 17 October with the Lions club  Catering lunch at the Alex Bowling club at a cost of $25 per person

Payment can be made to the club’s bank account by 13 October.

The committee has also been reviewing the club’s health and safety policy and procedures, such as when to go looking for lost members and also your responsibilities as a member. Not sure if will get them out this season ,but should be ready to go for 2021.

Enjoy blossom festival back under covid level 1 and I will send a reminder out next week.
