Roll up for a magical mystery tour

So where did the Harrier’s go on the mystery trip on Saturday ? They went in search of Spock on the planet Vulcan. Well the bus didn’t have enough speed to break earth orbit, so we had to make do with the Vulcan  Hotel. So we went   here and there and  ended up at St Bathans.

Most groups went around Blue Lake , some clockwise ,some anti clockwise. A few spots of rain fell to clear away  your cares and woes , before clearing again as quickly as it arrived . The W1s got round and had time to spare so went up the ridge before dropping back down to the lakeside track , only 7 minutes late back for afternoon tea. Nearly everyone else was back early for afternoon tea at 3:00pm except for one group.

The W3s   ! Yes I know. After exploring the lower lakeside track  , I suspect they went over to support the reopening of the Vulcan Hotel and we had trouble dragging them out. 15 minutes late for afternoon tea. Goodness.

The bus departed early and then took a side trip up to Cambrians , so those so inclined, could go and frolic amongst the daffodils

The bus conductor collected bus fare and raffle money, but apparently did not notice someone paid  using Aussie money .

This Saturday will be the final outing for the 2020 Harrier season. Meet at 11:00am at the Ice Inline car park opposite the Alexandra Bowling club by Molyneux Park. There you can go away in various groups for a walk, run or bike for an hour or two.

Around 1:00pm ish the Lions Club should have cooked up some lunch for you all. The slackers will no doubt just turn up for lunch.

If you have not yet booked in for lunch , please pay treasurer John by Monday 12th October into harrier account

031733 0004935 00 , remember to put your name down as reference.

You will need  to  send Barrie a text on 021 445918 to confirm your attendance and maybe fit  you in if you leave things to the last minute.

The committee would like to pass on their thanks to those who took the harrier mugs home to put thru their dish washer this season.

I have a prior engagement this Saturday ,so will be unable to join you , but I have booked in some reasonable weather for the day.

Have a good walk and lunch and may see you at Monteiths for a final outing on 6 December.
