The final countdown

Saturday saw the final outing of the Alexandra Harrier & Walkers Club for the 2021 season. Not everyone was out for a walk or run though, some were simply out for lunch.

Everyone seemed to enjoy their lunch, although I did notice a lack of whitebait patties. The big Lion told me he went out fishing on Friday but the bait were not biting ,despite trying a number of different lures. Sounds a bit like a tall story to me. Surely he wouldn’t be lion to me.

Last week on the Lake Hawea trip ,members on the bus were asked to complete a survey , asking  to rate the outings  from 1 for least popular, to 5 for the best Top 5 outings for 2021

1 – Shuffle off to lunch   (the Gannet colony popular again )

2 - Mystery trip  (Lake Hawea )

 3 – Weekend away (Stewart Island )

4 – Arrowtown

5 – Bendigo

If you didn’t get to do the survey, and really want to let the club captain know which outing you really liked or hated , send an email to info@alexharriers.co.nz

President Jo thanked the committee ,pack leaders and bus drivers

Clyde Alex 10km road races has been rescheduled for 27 November , limiting entries to groups of 100 .

Pre Christmas drinks Sunday 5 December 4pm at Monteiths  , hopefully will remember to send a reminder out closer to that date.

Well that’s about it from me for this season. Thanks to those who sent in photos over the year photos@alexharriers.co.nz  is where to send them.

No  doubt there will be a reminder sent out in November re the 10k races.

Till then , keep walking and stay fit
