McArthur Ridge

Greetings walkers and runners.

Last Saturday was a bit cloudy as the harriers ventured up to McArthur Ridge for a romp around the vines. Despite the steady headwind when heading out, it soon became a tailwind, blowing many members back to afternoon tea a bit earlier than planned.

The sun even came out to help enjoy that cuppa. Illustrating how the weather can influence the turnout, from a damp cool Lake Hayes and about 27 members the previous week, this week's nearly doubled with over 50 turning up for a romp around the vines. Perhaps some were hoping to sample the vino, rather than the vines.

There were no reports of any ducks hiding out amongst the harriers on opening weekend of duck shooting, despite anonymous reports of plenty of old ducks around.
