Just 3 members headed up earlier in the day for the long walk on the Kanuka track , but they did manage to get back on time for afternoon tea.
Meantime the remaining members car pooled up at 12:30pm to explore some of the many tracks in the Bendigo area.
They all took in parts of the Kanuka track, Aurora track, dray track, Waltzing Matilda battery, Number 2 shaft as well as the townships of Logantown and Welshtown.
All appeared to enjoy the day out , with no turkey stories to be told. Although some of those walkers must have got up to some mischief as we passed the cop car heading up the loop road. And someone must have stayed at the bar too long, needing a jump start to get home.
