Greetings another week has been and gone.
Saturday saw another harrier outing come and go , this time to Bannockburn. It is usually popular so I guess there was a full bus load who travelled there.
Photos supplied would suggest they went to Stewart town and the sluicings area.
Like the Alexandra area ,there were a couple of dark clouds hanging around , but it was otherwise a fine harrier afternoon.
This week we head out to Olrig station with A-Ls duty pack this week.
Pay attention to details.
For those who want to walk from Olrig to Ophir , meet corner Walton & Thompson Streets at 10:30am with warm clothing and some lunch. This walk is 19 km and you need a good level of fitness. John Thompson will lead this group car pooling out to Olrig.
Everyone else meet at 1:00pm
The bus will drop the W3 walkers if any at the Chatto Creek pub and will walk back along the rail trail.
The W1s & 2s will get off a bit further out and also come back along the trail.
The runners will stay on the bus to Ophir and run back over to Olrig.
The bus will stay at Ophir until the morning walkers arrive and then drive back to Olrig
Hopefully someone will drop the trailer off at Olrig and I will go out and put the billy on so there is a hot cuppa available at the end of the day.
No rain or hoar frosts forecast for this weekend ,just a bit of cloud so just usual winter day.
For those who want to put their names down for the harrier dinner on 6 July at the district club click on the link below. Enter your name etc and then close, it should automatically save it all
And remember to put your $45 into the harrier bank account, putting your name down in reference field
And then for those wanting to put their names down for the weekend away 22-23 June at Sutton , click on this link
Hope to see you all at Olrig this Saturday
